you've got to be kidding me?

Entry for the 2nd annual anniversary competition by *SilmesDragonStable.

Event: SDS Wolfhunting at Night [link]
Horse: TPS Shinigami
Rider: Tyler O'Connor
Hound: Horatio

All good things come in threes!
After two unsuccessfully Foxhunts with Shinigami, you might get to the opinion that Tyler trys it with another horse. Everyone of the Tribal Patron staff advised him to do that, but noooo.... he had to take Shinigami again.
The nervous stallion was really much calmer than usual. Maybe coz' there was no snowstorm or thunderstorm this time, just nice, warm... and dark weather.
After hours of searching, hungry and tired, they arrived at a lake. Tyler stopped his Stallion to let him drink and take a break.
"Great. Now, we reached the northest point of the Wolfhunt territory and absolutely no sign of any wolf. Besides this we lost our hound..." Tyler sighed and stroked Shinigamis neck.
"What do you mean... should we search the dog or the wolf? Oh wait... Horatio has our starting number, too. So maybe someone else might find him and bring him back after the competition."
Suddenly Tyler hears some quiet barks in the distance, that comes fast nearer with every second.
"Oh, unbelievable. This pooch isn't that useless how I thought! He found the..... wolf? Oh crap!!"
Horatio hounted the wolf directly in Tyler's direction. With full speed they passed them very close and Shinigami got the shock of his life. The stallion reared like hell when he noticed this huge dark grey "monster" besides him.

Horatio's thoughts: "Had to bring the wolf to my lordling, woof!"
Shinigami's thoughts: "Are you kiddin' me?? Big grey monster trys to eat me. not with me!"
Tyler's thoughts: "Help!"
Tarka's thoughts: "I'm surrounded by a pack of idiots..."
